It gives me a great joy to welcome you as a formal member to this Christian ministry. With this, you signify that you are partners of the Lord in His work through this ministry. Therefore, you are a co-labourer with God and with us in His plan to redeem man and stablish His kingdom in the hearts and lives of men of which His Son Jesus Christ is Lord and King. As a formal member, you are entitled to some basic rights in our assembly meetings. 1.) The right to address the brethren, 2.) The right to exercise your concience by voting on issues and on election of officers, etc., 3.) The right to hold office if elected and take in working committees. You enjoy these right during special/general meetings which are always pre-announced so that you can plan to attend. The detail of these are found in our by-laws which you can obtain from our Secretary. Study this carefully. It contains our method of operating the Lord's work through this ministry. You will find in it that the Assembly is governed by a Board of Administration which meets regularly. At time the Pastor/President may open its proceeding for your observation. You may attend as observer, but floor rights are limited to "raising a point-of-order" or inquiry only at that time. God is a God of order isn't He? For this reason, we have a decorum that we follow in our assembly meetings. Attached is our adopted "rule of order". Whenever you are present in special/general/committe meetings, please observe these rules in the exercise of your rights. You have done a righteous thing. Membership is for responsible and dedicated Christians. It involves commitment, service, stewardship and plenty of hard work. It takes a solid and sure dedication so it cannot be for doubting. May prayer is that God might give you courage to protect His interest and that of His people. May He gives you strength to live for what is right, true, moral, righteous and pleasing to God and man.
