Cell Leaders Authority

1. The cell leader is subject to his pastor. For the cell leader as for every believer, obedience to God's Word includes submission to the leadership of the local church.

2. The cell leader's authority is delegated authority. The pastor is fully responsible for the care and nurture of the local church. The cell leader acts as an extention of the pastor's ministry and authority in the cell group. He is , therefore, accountable to the pastor for his work in the cell.

3. The cell leader's authority is limited in the following three ways:

                  a. He cannot deviate in any way from the Scriptures and still retain his spiritual authority.
                  b. He cannot act contrary to the wishes of his pastor and still retain his spiritual authority.
                  c. He cannot assume the guiding role of the Holy Spirit in the life of another believer

In Summary:

THE CELL LEADER IS SUBJECT TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE LOCAL CHURCH.
